I started this challenge Friday, November 29, 2013. This Friday, I will finish week 26, and I am ecstatic!! I actually started this challenge with my parents, who each have a jar going as well. They are doing it for christmas money for the next year, while I'm doing it for whatever floats my boat at the time this challenge is done.
I actually started doing it for my girlfriend and son as well, which is a secret, however, I've only been putting money in their jars whenever I have extra cash on me. But they are almost caught up to me!
I think I might start going backwards on this because as winter rolls around, money starts to get a bit tighter, so hopefully if I start doing week 52 and then 51, etc. it will help it go by faster and easier.
My current plan is to surprise my girlfriend and son on Christmas with their jars since it will be done by December, and we can either use it to pay bills, go into the savings account, or maybe even go visit my girlfriend's best friend on the east coast, which we couldn't do this year because we didn't have enough money in the bank. Who knows! The possibilities are endless!!! :)
